Melle is on the Pilgrimage Route to Santiago de Compostela (Route via Tours) and you can travel here on the TGV train (Paris - Poitiers, 1½ hours and Paris - Niort 2½ hours, plus connecting coach service), or by plane (La Rochelle, Poitiers, or Bordeaux), or by car.
